Effective June 13, 2026. These terms govern use of the Starlit Reviews app by Shopify merchants.
A Shopify app for collecting, moderating, and displaying product reviews.
You are responsible for lawful use, including obtaining any required consent to email your customers and complying with the FTC consumer-reviews rule and GDPR. You must not publish fake reviews or unlawfully suppress genuine ones.
For customer personal data processed through the app, the merchant is the data controller and Eclipse Studio LLC is the data processor. We process that data only on the merchant's documented instructions and to provide the service; keep authorized staff under confidentiality; apply appropriate technical and organizational security (encryption in transit and at rest, restricted and logged access); use only the sub-processors listed in our Privacy Policy, each bound by equivalent data-protection terms, with notice of changes; assist the merchant in responding to data-subject requests and in meeting security, breach-notification, and impact-assessment duties; delete customer personal data on termination and honor Shopify's customers/redact and shop/redact webhooks; and make available the information needed to demonstrate compliance, including for audits. International transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses, and Shopify's Data Processing Addendum applies where relevant. This section is the parties' data processing agreement.
Paid plans are billed through Shopify on flat, published pricing. No usage fees.
Reviewers grant a license to display their submitted content on the merchant's store. Merchants may moderate using neutral, consistently-applied criteria.
No unlawful, abusive, or deceptive use of the service.
The service is provided "as is" without warranties. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited.
Either party may end the relationship; uninstalling stops the service and triggers data deletion per our Privacy Policy.
